چکیده

This paper is concerned with the energy-efficient filtering for a class of wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Due to the power limitation of WSNs, the measurement signal is transmitted to the remote filter infrequently and stochastically. A stochastic framework is proposed to formulate the filtering problem for such systems. A sufficient condition is established such that the filtering error system is mean-square stable and achieves a prescribed disturbance attenuation level in the H∞ sense. The optimal filter design is presented to determine the filter gains. Relations between the transmission parameters, e.g., transmission probability, transmission intervals and the filtering performance are obtained. Finally, a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) system is employed to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed design.

Neural-Smith Predictor Method for Improvement of Networked Control Systems

Networked control systems (NCSs) are distributed control systems in which the nodes, including controllers, sensors, actuators, and plants are connected by a digital communication network such as the Internet. One of the most critical challenges in networked control systems is the stochastic time delay of arriving data packets in the communication network among the nodes. Using the Smith predic...

Designinga Neuro-Sliding Mode Controller for Networked Control Systems with Packet Dropout

This paper addresses control design in networked control system by considering stochastic packet dropouts in the forward path of the control loop. The packet dropouts are modelled by mutually independent stochastic variables satisfying Bernoulli binary distribution. A sliding mode controller is utilized to overcome the adverse influences of stochastic packet dropouts in networked control system...

Event-triggered filtering and fault estimation for nonlinear systems with stochastic sensor saturations

This paper is concerned with the filtering problem for a class of nonlinear systems with stochastic sensor saturations and event-triggered measurement transmissions. An event-triggered transmission scheme is proposed with hope to ease the traffic burden and improve the energy efficiency. The measurements are subject to randomly occurring sensor saturations governed by Bernoulli distributed sequ...

Time Delay and Data Dropout Compensation in Networked Control Systems Using Extended Kalman Filter

In networked control systems, time delay and data dropout can degrade the performance of the control system and even destabilize the system. In the present paper, the Extended Kalman filter is employed to compensate the effects of time delay and data dropout in feedforward and feedback paths of networked control systems. In the proposed method, the extended Kalman filter is used as an observer ...

Design of Observer-based H∞ Controller for Robust Stabilization of Networked Systems Using Switched Lyapunov Functions

In this paper, H∞ controller is synthesized for networked systems subject to random transmission delays with known upper bound and different occurrence probabilities in the both of feedback (sensor to controller) and forward (controller to actuator) channels. A remote observer is employed to improve the performance of the system by computing non-delayed estimates of the sates. The closed-loop s...
